Vengeance Gambit Update

Woot! Managed to have the game of Vengeance Gambit finally at Settlers Katong yesterday! Kenneth and Jeff played the Feddies, Jon and Guan Yew played the Wobblies, while I refereed and Damien watched the fun!

The buildings will be taken down, all that's left to decide is whether the Feddies can take down enough Wobblies. Given the number of gauss rifles on their side, and the overrated Wobblie experimental C3 Level II(Zucker's boys), I'm still giving a slight edge to the Feddies.

Of course, when the MD VTOLs enter the field, it'll be quite different...

Oh, and one more thing. I need to know when you guys are free to finish this match. Another 5 turns can definitely finish this battle, since the Wobblies have lost about 3 mechs already, and three of the Feddies are hurting bad, and will likely die once the VTOLs zoom in on them.

Actually combat losses read this:

WoB
1) KC (Destroyed)
2) KC (Gryo hit, with now paper thin armor)
3) Wraith (Leg blown off, even thinnier armor)
4) Vanquisher (head blown off, destroyed)
5) Purifier Squad (1 BA damaged with 2 points left in him)

Fedsuns
1) Templar (leg blown off, pilot sleeping)
2) Thantos (Armor badly damaged, with CT exposed)
3) Devastator (CT/RT/LT exposed)
4) Legionnaire (Leg exposed)
5) Legionnaire (Damaged)
6) Peg Tank(Blown)
7) Mantis VTOL (Damaged)

Personal thoughts:

WoB:
Objectives:
1) To survive 50% of entire force of 24 units which is 12 is highly possible
2) Make sure 50% of MD units (4 out of 8 units) are alive and present on the field is dependent on what WoB wants to achieve.
PS: The hurt for JD may start???
3) The Grim Reaper must be present on the field. Again depends on what is priority of the WoB Forces.

Fedsuns:
Objectives:
1) Blow up buildings (Yes, a turn of peg, mantis and cavalry firing would see it out)
2) JD present on the field at end of game
3) Destroy / Cripple 50% of Wobbies (10 to go, highly achieveable with the number of gauss with them)

this should be good. the buildings seem to be a write-off, and now WoB can get to business. VTOL harrassment goodness!

I have posted up the difference in rulings between BMR and TW for those interested.

JT: Actually after closely reading TW, I found that the Fedsuns peg should have been disabled or destroyed before it reach M2 as we forgotten to add the modifier (+3) to the motive system damage table.

I'll be down on Sunday. Just a quick 2-3 hour game, lance on lance. I'll try to get my students down as well, but if not, me and Damien would just have to bash each other up.
